I am now a mum! It's amazing and I am absolutely in love with my little boy Reggie. He is now two months old and I just love talking all things baby. So I thought it was about time I shared on here save me boring everyone else! I have found sharing on Instagram really therapeutic, especially all things motherhood. The other day I asked Will to take some photos of Reggie and I showing my new mum tum. I was really missing my bump but feeling a little bit upset about my now sad tummy. But when I look at the picture above I don't see my stretch marks or a swollen tummy - I see Reggie. ![]() *From Instagram* I fell pregnant with Reggie a month after we were married. Now I didn't fall into the category of dieting or 'shedding for the wedding' but I was relatively happy with the look of my body. It was not the best I've ever looked, nor the worst - it was, however, the second best day of my life! Who cares about a bit of extra chub when you're having the best party ever! I wouldn't say I have ever had body issues - from a fairly young age I just accepted I had powerful thighs and wide shoulders. Yes, this never helped me look long and slim, but I can, however, swim very well and throw quite far! You try to remember that your body has done an amazing thing - it has grown a human! But... I am left with a thousand lines marking almost every inch of my belly, hips and legs. I have a scar which is permanently on my mind. I loose my breath without warning and leak milk at all the wrong times. It is not easy to love this new body, however, it is easy to feel proud of all it has achieved. I also like to think Reggie is totally behind me by sticking two fingers up to social pressure to bounce back! He loves me just the way I am! I am keen to make sure I remind myself and all mums that our tums are amazing. They grew a human and that is just totally awesome and I am so thankful my body was able to do such a special thing. A few women I follow on Instagram who have totally inspired me to share the 'naked' truth about my motherhood journey are @Mother_of_daugters and @Mother_pukka.
