One of my favourite things to do is browse fabric stores; lingering over the lace and ribbons. I have an unhealthy obsession with lace. I personally believe the world would be a lot better place with a lot more lace in it.

This lace is wonderful as you can chop it up into individual flowers.

You could make this with any lace design, just cut down to the part you want as your earring. It does need to be quite strong and thick lace in order to not disintergrate when you cut it all up.

Learning to love my nose!

I must admit I wanted to use my sister in these photographs but I forgot when I saw her at the weekend. I'm slowly learning to embrace my big nose!

To make, you will need:

  • Rings to attach your earring to the lace
  • Your chosen earring attachment
  • Round nose pliers
  • Flat nose pliers
  • Scissors
  • your chosen lace

Cut out your lace design, use your pliers to open the rings then thread through your lace and earring attachment. This is really fiddly but it will be worth it in the end. Use the flat nose pliers to secure the ring back together. And that's about it! Easy!

For some of mine I used different coloured sharpies to change each one up a bit. For example, to make them more like daisies try colouring the middle in yellow. You could also die them before, to make them even brighter!

Don't worry I cleaned them after!
I hope this inspires you to add some more lace to your life!

I also hope it's not too obvious but I feel a bit awkward in front of cameras. So a big thank you must go to my boyfriend, Will who was very patient and put up with me!

Happy crafting

Amy
