Today's card is a happy birthday card! Yay! I love giving people gifts, especially if I can make them something, including a lovely card.

I have seen these paper straws all over the internet lately, when I saw them in my local supermarket I was a little over excited.

These cards are so simple to make, but are different from the normal/unexciting cards you can buy.

All you need is

  • Paper straws
  • Blank card
  • Hot glue gun
  • Scissors
  • Coloured pens
  • White wool

Simply cut your straws to your desired length. Dab a small amount of hot glue in one end of the straw and insert one end of the wool. Once the glue has dried, cut the wool, so only a small amount is left out the straw, like a candle.

Then run a line of hot glue down the length of the straw, then fix to your card. Write your message underneath and there you have it!
