I am still working out my 'end game' for this blog but I am quite enjoying the process. Ideally I would like it to be a personal space where I can share my hobbies as well as products I hope to sell. Blogging is an amazing opportunity to channel all my pent-up creative energy, but also showcase what I'm making and hopefully get feedback. One of my main passions is creating flowers out of paper and card. The first I want to show you are the book page flowers.
I have made a few bunches of flowers like this one and I personally (being quite biased) think they are lovely.
These just have simple string wrapped stems, without any leaves.
I think these would make perfect bouquets for a wedding. Maybe for a bride who has a bad case of hayfever!
Also for valentine's day, I made these single book page roses with a card of a similar design.
I am a sufferer of the pollen eye itches so for me to have an alternative is brilliant.
These have leaves on as well to create a more 'realistic' look.
More recently I have been making flowers out of card and framing them in box frames. I have these as presents for birthdays. There are two different ways I display them; the first is singularly in small frames, I have them away in sets of three.
I also put them in much larger frames as well. This is much more labour intensive but the outcome is worthwhile.
I would love to hear what you think about these flowers and frames. I always ask Will but he gives the same answer every time!
I am trying to make more again so I can start selling again on my Etsy shop. So if you do like them keep an eye on this blog!
