I have already been showered with so much love as a mum-to-be and feel extraordinarily lucky to have so many friends and colleagues who have shared in my joy of becoming a mum. One thing I am conscious of is making sure I am always thankful and showing my thanks in a unique and meaningful way. Before I left my teaching post (with the most gorgeous class - insert crying emoji here!) a few of the ladies I worked with took me out for afternoon tea at The Queens in Cheltenham . It was a gorgeous afternoon with equally gorgeous food. As you can probably tell from my blog I am really into card making and the giving and receiving of handwritten cards. However I was lucky enough to have this afternoon teas when all the daffodils where everywhere. So instead of cards I thought a bunch of daffodils for each person there was far more appropriate.
I wrapped each bunch with string for more personal touch and then added a card that read 'Watch these bloom as I get fat! Thank you so much for being such a fabulous friend' It was so simple yet really effective way of saying thank you.
